The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in welding. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Duties

• Install and maintain piping systems in accordance with specifications and schematics.
• Perform welding tasks using techniques to join pipes and fittings.
• Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively for cutting, bending, and assembling pipework.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics to ensure accurate installation.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on existing piping systems to identify any issues or required repairs.
• Solder joints as necessary to ensure secure connections within the piping system.
• Apply basic maths skills to calculate measurements and material requirements for projects.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Must be familiar with some welding.
• Experience working with power tools and hand tools commonly used in pipefitting tasks.
• Ability to read and understand schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints is crucial.
